Slow Cooker Challenge D8 - Savory Pork Roast

This week at the grocery store I bought a large pork loin that was on sale for about $7. I cut it into 3 sections approximately weighing 2 lbs each. One day we had pulled pork, and today I am going to make a savory pork roast with another piece. Day 8 of the challenge. Enjoy.

Slow Cooker Savory Pork Roast

Ingredients:

1 2 lb pork loin roast
1 small onion diced
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 cups beef or chicken stock
2 tsp italian seasoning (thyme, oregano, marjoram, etc)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce

Directions:

Place roast in the bottom of a 3 to 5 quart slow cooker. Add stock, vinegar, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Sprinkle remaining spices over top of roast. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Use roast drippings for gravy and serve with desired side dishes.
